Time for Repairs

Well, even before we moved into the flat properly, I already had to spend money for repairs. The water heater at main bathroom needed fixing and the electrician came over this morning. Diagnosis - heating element needed replacing.

He'll be coming back next Monday morning and hopefully everything would be sorted out that day. The furniture would follow suit a few days later. So, it looked like we would be spending more time at the flat by the end of the month.

In the meantime, I would be staying there during on calls mainly.

A Slow Afternoon

Rather than hang around at the hospital, I decided to head back to the apartment to have a shower, and see what Puan Anita had left for me in the fridge. Hmm .... sushi!

I would be taking a drive back to the hospital at around 10, and stay there until midnight, just in case there are cases waiting for me. That would be better than having to turn back after midnight.

So, off to the shower ....

More Furniture Hunting

The plan to bring the two boys along for furniture shopping was a complete disaster. In less than 5 minutes at the Lorenzo outlet at Jalan Ampang, Idlan had started sulking. Before long, we had to send the boys home.

45 minutes later, rather than returning to Jalan Ampang, we decided to head out to Viva Home Center again. And this time, we made progress. Anita got what she wanted. And a few others would be on order in the next couple of weeks. Exciting time.

There was also time to have a quick look at some cats at the main lobby. Apparently there was an exhibition all weekend. On cats. Exotic ones.

In the end, we managed to salvage the day. Delivery dates were arranged. And we are both looking forward for the furnitures. The hunt was at least halfway over.

Roadblocks!

It would be the first time that I would be staying in the apartment while on call. So, after sorting out my admissions, I left the hospital just after midnight. I decided to take the NPE hoping that it would be nice and quite and I would be back home in no time.

Unfortunately, there were a couple of major road blocks along the way. The first one was just after the turning into Kewajipan, towards Sunway Pyramid. The second was just after the NPE first toll from Sunway towards Bangsar. In the end, it took me about 30 minutes to get into the apartment. Not impressed!

So, if I were to be called out again, it looked like I would be taking the Federal Highway instead. Hopefully that would be a lot smoother. Minus the toll!

A Quick Stop

Had to swing by the apartment to get some paperwork done. Luckily, my colleagues were still around in the morning, and I was able to zoom off for a bit. While there, I managed to explore the facilities on offer. Managed to walk around without much bother, while there were peace and quiet.

Anita brought the maid with her to help with the cleaning while lunch being sorted. Unfortunately, I have to be back to the clinic this afternoon, and do a quick round before the day end. I imagine there would be a fair number of referrals coming my way.

I should have brought my trainers along since the gym at the apartment looked nice. Half an hour or so at the gym after work would do nicely. But not today I supposed. So, I just finished lunch with Anita, and it's almost time to return to the hospital.
