Breakfast for One

The boys had already left for school early today. And today would be the last day of school until the Chinese New Year. A long break for them. Again.

Very likely there would be havoc from tonight onwards. I would be on call tomorrow, so the party would have to start later.

For the time being, Anita had been hard at work organising Irfan's birthday party. It looked like everything should be finalised by Monday.

Looking forward to the party.

After much coaxing, the guys finally woken up. By that time, I had had the chance to walk to Mahkota Parade to go to the bank and back. The breakfast was also getting cold by then.

The cap junking was for Anita of courseNext would be time for lunch. Better get them to the shower. We would be hitting the town after lunch.

Happy Sunday Morning

Stayed in bed just that bit longer after what had been a busy week. And I will be on call again tomorrow, so better enjoy it while I could. I still had to do downward round this morning, but this being Sunday, I could just take my time.

My Mum stayed with us for the weekend, and I could here Anita and her chatting away preparing breakfast. All the children were still asleep after only going to bed way past midnight last night. Just after I return from seeing my ICY admission.

The boys were still awakeThe view from the balcony this morningBreakfast this morning. Prepared by my Mum.One of Idlan's friend family invited us for lunch today, but I was still undecided if to go or not. I just preferred to chill and enjoy my Sunday. It only comes once a week...

Breakfast Time

I had a restful night last night. The boys were already in bed by 10.30, tired of course from running around all afternoon. We took our dinner with relatives at the coffee house by the lobby, too tired to go out last night.

The boys became restless soon after leaving me having to babysit them at the room - they enjoyed the room. Anita spent some time with her family after dinner.

As usual, always the morning person, I woke up early and was among the first to turn up for breakfast. The breakfast was very decent. The chef - called Chef John, not sure if he's Malay or not - created a good spread. The omelette was great. So was the selection of pastries and Western hot food. But when it came to local selection - I tried the nasi berlauk - it wasn't pretty. In fact, best to avoid it.

Kelantan was always associated with their hearty breakfast. I reckon they should employ a local cook just for the local breakfast here. It would've made plenty of difference ....

More write-ups on the trip here.

Fresh and Ready

Can't resist but to enjoy the vista outside my room this morning when I woke up Sith you guys. The temperature was on the chilly side, and the wind wound down the windchill factor by a couple of notches. It was freezing, and I would need my jumper.

The hotel we stayed was situated right at the top of a hill and exposed to the elements as far as wind and rain are concerned. But inside, the airconditioning was top notch. It had been raining outside the whole night but inside, it was right cosy.

It had a spa, which none of us had managed to sample thus far due to our tight schedule. Nor the swimming pool. Today being the last day - we would be leaving to tomorrow morning - if better make the most of it.
