Lavender Garden

This is something novel. The last time I visited a lavender farm was in Cheshire, back in 2003. The smell in the air was unmistakeable, let alone able to take a nap in the surrounding area in the cool early summer breeze!

Not quite a nap this time, but the aroma was definitely there. Not as strong and not as fresh, but it was not too bad. Definitely worth the admission fee alone!

This must have been a new addition to the Genting Strawberry Leisure Farm as it was not yet opened the last time we were there. The garden was situated just at the end of the rows of strawberries, and it was something not to be missed.

The place was not really big, but enough to give you an idea what it would be like in the South of France! Even asthmatic Idlan enjoyed the smell and it did not trigger his wheeze.

There were a few benches if you'd like to sit, and of course the customary gift shop. After taking a few snaps, it was already time to head to the next part of the farm. Plus it was already time for lunch ....

The Strawberry Farm

Compared to when we were there last, the number of trees had definitely at least doubled. The strawberries seemed fresher and there were plenty to choose from. It cost RM8 per 100g which I thought was pretty steep, especially when we had five pickers going rampant like maniacs along the rows of strawberry, armed with scissors and baskets.

It got a bit warm in there towards the end as the sun came out. But I was impressed at how well maintained the whole place was.

Got the strawberries in order in the baskets, got them weighted and then we were off to the next leg - the lavender garden!

Thistle PD

Thistle PD had always been one of our favorite stop when we were in PD, usually for a quick lunch or afternoon tea. It used to be called Guomon, and famous for its golf link. But we were there mostly to chill.

We went there this time for a quick lunch and the food was still fine. Not a fan for staying there since it doesn't have a good beach, the apartment was way better for that ....

We were rushing to go home this time around and wasn't able to have a good look around. It must've been a couple of years since I last stopped at the place.

Another Jump

We returned to Jump Street near Jaya One, on Malaysia Day. A post-call day for me, so I wasn't really geared up to jump. Good thing that we went with our buddies with a total of 6 children. They more or less looked after themselves.

I was late to arrive - Anita went straight to the place from Gombak - and before I arrives, Anita called me to say that Irfan twisted his ankle. As usual, when there was trouble, he would be looking for Daddy.

Sorting out the teamEnough time to chill out ....And he's out ...Waiting to get back inI spent the next couple of hours carrying him around. To be fair, his ankle had started to swell by then. He would be extra manna for the rest of the week I was sure.

We ended the session by a late lunch at Raju's, with me carrying Irfan around throughout. I must have more calories during that afternoon than the rest of the year!

Back in againDanial, Syahril's eldestIs that the opposition? His ankle looked much better this morning and last night, he was able to walk a bit more. Still manja though.

Park at Park City

Even the name suggested that the place was full of greenery. But today was the first time that we explored Desa Parkcity. And yes, there many parks at that part of the city. And on Saturday afternoon, it was filled with the crowd.

We only stopped at one of the parks - Park West - to run around. The main park by the lake was too full and we struggled to find a nearby parking spot.

They had a small exhibit there this weekend. Mainly lifestyle stuffs. They were about to pack up for day when we arrived. Nothing much to see then. A Frisbee or a football would have been great as the grass and ground was really soft and inviting.

After the walk, we drove around Park City, exploring the houses and apartments. They were gorgeous, and expensive. Some if the superlink houses were on the market for above RM 4 million. Madness!

The place was still being developed and built. They had malls and bazaar coming up soon, and by then I was sure the medical centre would've been more established.

Anita was smitten ...... should I be worried?
