Pandamonium

The 1600 Panda project was doing its round across Malaysia and for the final two weeks, them cute pandas would be stationed in Publika. It was a WWF project to raise awareness on the decline of the species and the 1600 pandas represent the 1600 pandas still left in the wild. Or at least when I was told.

I took the boys to visit today, and it was havoc. Publika was chock full of people. Parking was a nightmare and to make matters worse, we arrived during lunch hour and could not get any seat to eat. It was a struggle although we finally got one. Ben'd even had a 45 minutes waiting time. We went elsewhere instead.

The queue to get in to touch the pandasAfter we were fed, it was time to get into some panda action. The queue to enter the cordoned area to have a close-up of photos was just too ridiculously long. So, only a few selfies and snaps were done before we muscle our way out.

Best to come either late morning or maybe later on in the afternoon. Sunday lunchtime was definitely a bad idea in anyone's book.

The pandas were cute though. Smaller than I thought. Definitely worth getting the snaps ..... Shame that Publika would their final local stop. Not sure when they would return ...

Getting Ready

Back to school time tomorrow. And it would be from Bangsar rather than packing up from Gombak. Anita wanted to stay for another week and possibly only move back to Gombak next weekend.

No complains from me.

The boys seemed ready as well. Everyone was already in bed by 10, leaving me having a nap in front of the TV waiting for United to play Soton at midnight. I don't have to wake up too early tomorrow morning as I have only a couple of inpatients left to review before setting off to Park City tomorrow morning.

The boys on the other hand would have to get up a bit earlier. Our driver would drive from Gombak to pick them up and head back to school in Setapak. Let's see how things pan out tomorrow morning.

Sleep Over Weekend

With the starting of school delayed for an extra week, the boys asked to join their cousins in Kajang. So, that was what we did this weekend. With me heading for work from there.

Afternoon snackIdlan hardly slept last night, playing games with Imran. All we did was eat. Anita was worried that they would put on weight. My Mum joined us this morning as she had a prior engagement yesterday evening. And she was the one doing the cooking for lunch.

Idlan didn't want to go home. He wanted to stay another. While Irfan didn't stop asking about going back to the apartment. There would be drama tonight. Definitely.

Thistle PD

Thistle PD had always been one of our favorite stop when we were in PD, usually for a quick lunch or afternoon tea. It used to be called Guomon, and famous for its golf link. But we were there mostly to chill.

We went there this time for a quick lunch and the food was still fine. Not a fan for staying there since it doesn't have a good beach, the apartment was way better for that ....

We were rushing to go home this time around and wasn't able to have a good look around. It must've been a couple of years since I last stopped at the place.

Teluk Kemang Afternoon

Right after lunch at Thistle, I asked for the driver to drop Anita and I at Teluk Kemang while the rest of the troupe going straight back to the apartment. I wanted some time by the sea, enjoying the breeze, and maybe some ABC to boot.

And it was a pleasant afternoon indeed, spending about an hour by the small shade at the beach, enjoying the sea breeze. Not to mention the ABC - unfortunately of the diabetic-friendly variety. Watered down despite the bright colouring. Typical!

We had to pay rental for the shades, and it was charged by the day. So, despite just there for under an hour, we had to pay the full RM15 day rental! Easy prey these lot! But the shade and the sea breeze proved too inviting, and the RM15 was well worth it.

To the beach next!
