Big Day Tomorrow

Irfan appeared chirpy this evening as he greeted me at the door when I returned. He appeared to understand what would be in store tomorrow morning, which is good. He had been at his usual cheekiness all evening.

Hopefully he would be just as chirpy tomorrow morning as he was tonight. We would be leaving for the hospital very early tomorrow morning and I would be doing the driving before being joined by the drivers later. Idlan would go to school as usual. If everything went according to plan, we should be home by lunch tomorrow. I would then return for my ward round in the afternoon ......

The Kenduri

We spent the evening doing some shopping for the kenduri tomorrow. Through to form, my Mum roped in Anita to organise the kenduri and doa for Irfan's circumcision. It would take place tomorrow afternoon at my Mum's place in Bukit Antarabangsa.

Anita brought Irfan to see our usual Paediatrician at Pantai Bangsar - right next to the apartment - concerned with his persistent cough. Nothing major. He just needed some inhalers. He was much better today. During the visit, the Paediatrician told Irfan why he needed the circumcision, and since then, Irfan was looking forward to it. That would be on Wednesday.

After groceries we're done, we brought the boys to my Mum's for dinner and Anita cooked the spaghetti for the children for tomorrow's kenduri. The rest would be catered for. My Aunt from Sungai Petani had also just arrived. It should be a nice kenduri tomorrow. And I hope that the weather would hold up ...

We were looking forward to bed now. It had been a long and tiring day especially for Anita.

Kenduri Coming Up

What was in store

Irfan has yet to learn about what he would be getting into next week. It would be exactly a week today that he would go for circumcision. He is doing well as far as the infection was concerned and had been back to school. No pain now.

The moment my Mum learned about the op next week, she had already started making plans. As usual, before circumcision, there would be a kenduri, complete with pulut kuning. That would take place next Monday - a public holiday for Malaysia Day on Sunday. Anita went to plan for the feast earlier today, sorted out the menu and canopy. It looked all set. But, what I need to do next would be to explain to him what would take place next Wednesday. I would do that this weekend ....... Wish me luck!

At the Apartment

Since it was more convenient to get to the hospital from our apartment, we decided to stay there until Irfan's infection and pain settle down completely. That would also mean extra long commute for Idlan to school. The driver would have to get to us extra early, but in his motorcycle, that should not be a big problem. We would probably stay there for another few days.

We like staying at the apartment. Things tended to be simpler here, and especially during weekends, going out was great. Getting to work was also would be a breeze .....
