Steady Start

The post-holiday commotion was slowly setting in. Meetings and deadline to sort out. Managed to rummage through my home office to get it tidied up, but still plenty needed doing. Will need to shop for some tables and other small stuffs before the weekend.

Idlan and Irfan had been complaining of being bored after all the excitement of the Penang trip. Suffice to say that if they had their way, they would still be there now. But Daddy had to work ...

We also need to do up Idlan's room for a bit. He needs a small TV after we moved his Wii U back to his room. It was previously in Irfan's as the TV was there. Now, both of them had their own rooms, we could spent some time doing a bit of decorating.

Both of them could do with proper study desks, but that would have to wait. I can't afford another Moll table just yet ... not with their school fees due soon.

This morning was a slow one. Started of at Subang and saw my patients there before a quiet breakfast at Bawang Merah - after 6 weeks, missing the nasi lemak. Then another rather quiet and smooth ride to Park City. The two patients scheduled did not turn up. Probably still in their Raya mood. Had time to do a bit of blogging, as I was sure this afternoon would be a busy one. Nothing lined up for lunch - although there was a lunch talk at Subang. Maybe I just check what my boys were up to at the apartment first ...

Hooray for a School Holidays

It was kinda weird to have the school holiday starting on a Wednesday. All out of a sudden the traffic to work was light and reaching the hospital early although were desirable at times, could be rather boring.

I ended up finishing my round early, and had my breakfast before leaving for my clinic at Park City. Such a blissful drive.

I wished that it was like this every morning. But being on call this morning meant that the serenity would be broken very soon ....

Best to enjoy it while it lasted ...

Sleep Over

It was a spontaneous decision. We decided to sleep over at the apartment last night as today would be a public holiday.

Traffic returning home last night was pretty bad and we got caught up again on the was out for dinner. Rather than returning home as it was already late, we went back to the apartment instead.

Idlan got to work with his Lego component straight away, and Irfan enjoyed a movie. I was already asleep in front of the TV soon after we reached the apartment.

I woke up at around 4, and caught the later stages of the Champions League semi-final between Athletico and Chelski. It would be the Madrid derby for the finals.

Back to bed, and again ready for the morning rounds .... Not a bad rest ...

Rush Hour

Just realised how busy the road in front of the apartment was during rush hour. It was a nightmare. Luckily it took me only 20 minutes to drive in as it was against the traffic, but I could imagine the headache should I be called in at this hour. I guessed the patient would have to wait then.

The boys had settled in nicely and Anita insisted on cooking tonight. We would be staying until after dinner as we might be taking a drive to get some yogurt and desserts later. Fancied something sweet. Luckily the drive would only 10 minutes.

As for now, I might as well enjoy some peace and quiet before the Maghrib prayers.

Drizzled

How I wished I was in bed all morning rather than having to travel across town on this cool morning. It rained in the early hours and by the time I was about to leave at 7 in the morning, it really poured.

Traffic was smooth until I reached PJ. Then Federal Highway started to clog up. And it continued so until after 10 am. I could see the bad flow from the window of my clinic. And then I felt lucky that I set off really early.

I think it would start to rain again soon. Hopefully I could escape before it start to pour ...
