Rush Hour

Just realised how busy the road in front of the apartment was during rush hour. It was a nightmare. Luckily it took me only 20 minutes to drive in as it was against the traffic, but I could imagine the headache should I be called in at this hour. I guessed the patient would have to wait then.

The boys had settled in nicely and Anita insisted on cooking tonight. We would be staying until after dinner as we might be taking a drive to get some yogurt and desserts later. Fancied something sweet. Luckily the drive would only 10 minutes.

As for now, I might as well enjoy some peace and quiet before the Maghrib prayers.

Drizzled

How I wished I was in bed all morning rather than having to travel across town on this cool morning. It rained in the early hours and by the time I was about to leave at 7 in the morning, it really poured.

Traffic was smooth until I reached PJ. Then Federal Highway started to clog up. And it continued so until after 10 am. I could see the bad flow from the window of my clinic. And then I felt lucky that I set off really early.

I think it would start to rain again soon. Hopefully I could escape before it start to pour ...

Long Drive

Wow! Almost one and a half hour to get to work this morning. Yes, it was drizzling a wee bit, but the jam was actually due to a small accident. The problem was it happened on a ramp, taking the traffic from Gombak across to the stretch of highway towards Jalan Duta. A really bad spot to have a breakdown.

Anyhow, the tow truck was struggling to clear the cars as well as they also had to wade across the traffic. One of the lane was still closed when I passed. I wonder how long I would be stuck I left a bit later.

So, just done my ward round and waiting for the clinic results to start trickling in. A quick sit down at the lounge with a cup of coffee.

Mixed Bag

It was one of those days which begun so serenely. I was surprised at how smooth the traffic was as I madre my way to Ara Damansara to begin the day with a meeting there. Reached there on time, and the meeting commenced immediately. No time wasted. Great start.

I decided to only do the daily visit at SJ in the afternoon as I have no pressing matter there this morning. So, off I went to Park City. Again, smooth traffic. Where had everybody gone.

Finished my clinic and referral with plenty of time to spare before a meeting at 1 pm. Decided to go to town for lunch, and this was where the day was spoilt. I hit my side mirror on one of the concrete beams reversing out of my parking spot. Sigh!

The rest of the day just went by. Would have to get my side mirror sorted then. Would cost me a bit of money then for the parts. The day could've been better ....... well, it could've been worse ..... Have a good Monday all.

10 and a Half

It finally took us ten and a half hours to reach Gombak from Kota Bharu. And the main reasons were traffic lights at the towns along the way.

The worst one was when we were exiting Bentung. A six km tailback just to pass one stupid traffic light. And 5 minutes after that we were on the Karak Highway. What a waste of time!

Near Kuala Lipis. The traffic started to build up. This time it was due to a minor accident.Near TemerlohWe got onto the Karak Highway well after sundownTraffic on the highway was pretty light as we entered it just after 8 pm. Now at home, I just finished my drinks and dinner.

An overnight rest before settling some business tomorrow. Still on leave but some things at work needed sorting out .....
