A Wet Start

The prediction was it would be sunny this morning and tomorrow. But it turned out to be the opposite. It rained so hard that it was such a struggle to get out of bed.

The traffic into work was understandably heavy. Luckily today was a no clinic day, hence I could take my own sweat time enjoying the carpark that was Federal Highway.

The Boss is back!My senior colleague would also be back from conquering Mount Kinabalu. I spent the morning doing rounds with him before leaving for Ara Damansara to see a referral there.

Heavy rain while seeing my referral at Ara DamansaraBack for lunch before doing an early round to enjoy an early afternoon. The boys would be having a long weekend so we planned to go out tonight after their Quran class. Maybe dinner outside.

In the meantime, it was best to enjoy some down time. I would be on call Saturday.

Roadwork at Bukit Bintang

Clearly Bukit Bintang would never be the same anymore. Especially looking at the amount of digging they were doing around the iconic intersection between Jalan Bukit Bintang and Sultan Ismail. And it had been going on for the last couple of years, with an almost constant changing of the road layout around that particular area.

This development also had contributed to the closure of another famous landmark, the Bukit Bintang Plaza.

So, on my way to Low Yat Plaza last weekend, I went past the famous intersection again. There were still a big crowd mingling about, but the layout had changed again. The pedestrian walkway was still preserved but getting across the road could be a bit tricky.

I saw a few Mat Salleh stopping at the junction trying to get around the place. I was sure they stayed at a hotel nearby and wanted to explore the area. Not a good time for that mate!

Some heavy gear there ...I sure hope that all these distractions would pay dividend at the end of the day. There had been a lot of investment here and I hope that it would all be worth it .....

Back into the Groove

The traffic had built up to the usual size today, making my drive to Park City that bit longer. It looked like the holiday season was over despite the school opening being delayed until next Monday. I guessed parents who anticipated the first day of school being last week had used up their holidays and were back to the office.

After my Park City clinic, I took a bit of a detour to Sri Utama to settle the school fees. They were opened next week as well.

We would still be at the apartment until the weekend. Next week, I would be driving from Gombak again. Not looking forward to that ...

Friday Evening

Rain and Friday evening should never mix. It would spell heavy trafficker even flash flood. Not fun. Especially when you're on call and you wanted a quick exit for shower and quick dinner.

That happened earlier but luckily being school holiday, traffic was lighter than usual. I would be returning to the hospital later but not before some meal. There was some wiring being done at the Doctor's mess which meant that I couldn't be able to chill in front of the TV while waiting for admissions.

The solution, chill at home and return to the hospital later than usual, see the patients quickly then return to bed. Hope that would work out ...

Excruciating

It had been a long morning and as the afternoon wore on, the heaven opened. And as usual, Friday afternoon rain spelled heavy traffic.

I've been stuck for the last 30 minutes, hardly making any progress. And the rain looked to continue. That would also spoil our weekly Friday Evening outing.

Praying that the traffic smoothed out in the coming few minutes.... Happy weekend all!
