Like a Baws

Felt a lot better this morning although the early night caused me to wake up at 3 in the morning and couldn't get back to sleep. I ended up updated the blog, surf the net as well as catch up on the news. Nobody to interact with in those ungodly hours of course.

I only managed to doze off at about 4.30, and woke up again a couple of hours after. Feeling fresh, I got through my routine and taken all the meds as well. I was about to go when Anita insisted on me using her driver still.

So, here I was at the back of the car, sitting like a baws. Surfing the net and catching up with the news. The traffic this morning was a lot lighter than expected. I suspected that this was due to parents taking time off with their children having UPSR. Some of the schools were even closed during the exam period. It only took us 30 minutes to reach Subang.

Full day on the cards today but generally speaking Thursdays were pretty light for my schedule. So, onwards .....

The Eyebags Are Gone

After first Irfan, then Idlan, now Puan Anita and I started having sore throat. I had a bit of a temperature earlier today, which settled after some paracetamol. The sore throat is still bothering me though, and I suspect, it would be worst tomorrow morning when I wake up. Hopefully, I could muster some energy for our weekend break to A Famosa as the boys were really looking forward to it.

As for Idlan, he is doing much better, although he skipped school again today. The eyebags were gone, and so was the coughing. He should be fine for his class tomorrow. A quick look at my list, my clinic should be light, although I had a few inpatients lined up. Should be manageable even with a slight cold.

Under the weather

It all started on the first day of Ramadhan when Puan Anita was down with diarrhoea. She developed muscle ache and fever the next day. Myself and the boys were still fine. But during sahur on early hours of Saturday, Idlan started vomiting. He then developed fever and been unwell through out the day.

I thought I was OK. Had my sahur as usual, then went out to do my ward round in the morning. Halfway through, I started having muscle ache. Rushed through and managed to see all the patients. Felt really bad while driving and by the time I reached home, it was doubly bad. Muscle ache started setting in, Slept the rest of the day. Idlan did not get any better. He started having diarrhoea overnight. At least Puan Anita’s fever came down, even though the muscle aches were till there. We are bracing ourselves that It was not more than just a viral fever. I fear the dreaded mosquito-borne virus that is pandemic at the moment …….
