Free Saturday Afternoon

Spending the weekend at the apartment, we decided to go for an afternoon tea on Saturday after I got home from work. The original plan was for the boys and Anita to spend some time with their schoolmates at the National Science Center, but it was cut short since their friend had to return home early due to his grandfather calling in. So, Anita and the boys left early for me to pick them up.

Since the afternoon was free, we went to Plaza Damas, the usual place for the boys to get their video games and Anita to get her DVDs from the usual dodgy vendor.

This time around, it wasn't just the boys bought games, I did for myself as well. The latest instalment of Diablo was just released on the PS3. Still fresh from the press, I picked one up. Since I was covering for my colleagues who were away on conferences in Thailand, we didn't plan to go out of town and rather just relax at the apartment. Some free time for me to do some gaming then ...... Why not? The boys were occupied on their iPads and PSP. Daddy wanna play!

Happy Friday Evening

It was finally Friday, which meant iPads were out from their hiding place for the weekend. Apparently there had been an update to their favourite game, Minecraft. Quick update, and fir the last hour they had been in front of their iPads.

I never quite understand Minecraft, possibly because I never had the time to get into it. But my boys and their friends in school were really into it. Idlan and Irfan could even log onto the WiFi network and play together. Still I couldn't figure out what the excitement was all about.

According to Irfan, with the latest update, he could bake cake, milk cows and built more stuffs. Idlan's favourite seemed to be the lava tiles.

Never mind then, I need to chill out since I would be on call tomorrow. Anita had been in the kitchen for the last 30 minutes. And it smelt nice ........

Nice and Sunny

Shame that I would be on call tomorrow as if the weather for weekend had this morning as its mould than it would be a nice sunny weekend. I would imagine there would be some irate motorist as well since the school holidays would be coming to a close.

As for me, again this morning clinic was slower than usual although most of the scheduled patient turned up. No clinic after Friday prayers today. I therefore planned for a quick afternoon round before calling it the day. A quiet night before the on call tomorrow was on the card. And Anita had made sure that I wouldn't be running out of food as she had stocked up the apartment already this morning.

Which reminded me that I had to stop by the apartment later as there were some work being planned there this morning.

All Tanned Up

After dipping in the pool bathed in bright sunshine for a good 90 minutes, Idlan actually turned dark. And this was despite a good amount of sunblock .....

You could almost make out the tan line on his thigh. And Idlan spent the whole Sunday showing them off at home.

Weekend Coming

Well, had a good night sleep after a few nights of sore throat and body aches. The bar weather than we have been having also didn't help, and with the air conditioning in my ward needed repair - it had been extra warm in the corridor - wearing a lab coat felt like a challenge.

I'm on call for Haematology this weekend, but otherwise I expect to be free. Hopefully it stayed nice and sunny through out. It would be a bit of a bummer if it was sunny ball weekday and ended up with a stormy weekend. I might go into town again looking at the HTC One, being released in the middle of the week.

Last weekend was a weekend full of dinner with Mother's Day being the excuse. We might have a quiet dinner for Idlan's birthday since I will be on call on his actual birthday. Something to do during the weekend then.
