The Replacement

My old Lamy was pretty beat up. It was my main pen, an those who knew me, knew how much I love fountain pens. Before this one completely break down, I thought I better get a replacement. And to get a good Lamy pen is never easy, as I prefer the extra broad nib.

After almost a month of searching, I thought I had found a worthy replacement. It was at Parkson KLCC, and I had to try almost a dozen pen before settling for this one. The salesgirl was patient, an she was rewarded .....

But at the end of the day, the last Lamy was still the best, and I would surely keep using it until it's totally gone!

Afternoon Wedding

It was a pleasant wedding I attended yesterday lunchtime. It was also the first time that I attended the venue, at Taman Melawati.

The bride is our next door neighbour in Gombak, and Anita knew her since they were in school. She was married before, and her only daughter was born within a couple of weeks of Idlan. Unfortunately, a few months after that, she was separated, and a messy divorce ensued. It was only finalised recently, paving the way for the wedding.

The wedding itself was a very cosy affair, with the family members organising almost everything, except the cooking I supposed. The bride's brother was the emcee, and he certainly stole the show. Everything was straight forward, and was done on time.

The bride was certainly happy yesterday, and so were we, knowing what she had gone through. So, many congratulations to our dear neighbour. To the bride .....

Me Morning

Decided to have some me time in Bangsar after my morning rounds. After all, it had been a busy few days, and I will be on call again on Hari Wesak. Late breakfast then. This time at Chawan.

Unfortunately, Puan Anita had some sorting out to do with the new maid who would be joining us in the coming couple of months. Our current maid is planning to get married and would be returning to Indonesia in June.

Planning to do some browsing in a bit. I need a table for my study at the apartment.

The Newer iPad

After a good couple of months, I finally managed to spend some time walking around Low Yat for a nice afternoon of browsing. It was raining heavily outside, and I ended up spending more time than I should. I finally made up my mind about upgrading my iPad. My iPad 2 now belongs to Puan Anita, and I picked up a brand new 64G wifi. Nope, I did not believe in the 4G hype, and besides, I have wifi or tethering should I need to get onto the Net.

It was a lot more nippy, and as advertised, the new screen was gorgeous. The pdf files looked …… heavenly!

The camera was not bad either, but I don't think I would be using much of that. The iPhone 4S camera was way superior and easier to handle. 

I liked what I saw so far and the task now would be to optimise the unit as I wanted to …..

p/s: It should have said 64Gb actually .....

Last Six Months

Yes. It has been six months since I was offered to join Sime Darby, and plenty of things had happened. I also filled my tax return today, and suffice to say, I'm broke!

Things had certainly picked up in the last three months, and even my Mum complained that I hardly came around as frequently. The new apartment also came in handy, as I didn't have to travel all the way to Gombak every time I was called to the hospital.

Alhamdulillah, six months certainly flew by in double quick time, and only recently that I started to understand the philosophy of private practice. Managing expectations seemed to be as important as having good clinical acumen. But, as I said all along, I must not complaint ....
