Raya Groceries

There would not be Raya without the rush for grocery shopping a few days before. We did our bit at Mid Valley on the Sunday before Raya, and luckily we were early and were able to secure a parking slot right near the entrance. By the time we were done, the place was already jam packed.

The AEON at Mid Valley was undergoing renovation which made the shopping experience less than ideal. We ended up having to shop at two places - meaning two queues at the cashiers. Not fun. But being AEON, you could almost guarantee that you would be able to get everything under one roof, and that was what happened.

An hour and a half and we were out of there, just needing to ferry the stuffs over to Gombak ....

Morning Groceries

My first day of leave, and being the last day of Ramadan, groceries were on top of the list.

The local mall was opened at 10.30, and we were there at around 10.15. We were away by 11 and the crowd were only just building up. The parking lots were already filled and queue at the entrance into the car park was already long.

I could do with one of these ...What did we buy? A couple of trolley full of stuff .... Don't ask me what they were. I just pushed the trolley ... and foot up the bill.

Groceries for the Apartment

The boys had started their school summer break yesterday - which would last for a month. They had been asking about staying at the apartment, and Anita finally yielded. So, for the final week of Ramadan, we would be at the apartment.

Since my mother-in-law was without a maid, we would be loaning ours to her. Therefore, Anita would have to cope at the apartment on her own while I was at work. We decided to sort the groceries out today, so when we moved in tomorrow afternoon, everything should be ready.

Still need unpacking ...A couple of weeks ago, Anita discovered a quiet branch of Mydin near Danau Kota and since then, her mother and her had been there a couple of times. I went along with her today, and she was not joking when she said that the place was quiet. I swore that there were more staffs than customers when we walked in. So, shopping was a breeze indeed, despite this being the final weekend before Eid.

So, everybody were looking forward to the move, even though it would only be for a short while ....

Groceries Hunting

The morning ward round finished quite early actually even though I started later than usual since I decided to enjoy the breakfast before leaving. So, it was well before midday when I returned home.

Anita was about to leave the house then to do the groceries. It wasn't the usual load. It was quadruple the usual as we were planning to leave for the apartment for the rest of the school holidays, and the kitchen there was rather bare.

Fresh ....We went to a couple of places, a warehouse then the usual supermarket. Others almost 3 pm before we returned as soon it was time to pack and shift the stuffs to the apartment. A mini nightmare if you ask me.

As part of the plan, we would be moving the MPV and my C200 along. It would be a couple of trips with me sending the driver back after unpacking. And there was an admission at the hospital. Guess, that would have to wait.

After Dinner

Anita went out for the groceries today after I complained about not having any drinks when I felt thirsty before going to bed last night. So, guess what I saw when I opened the fridge just now?

Imagine if I were to turn around and said to Anita, "I don't drink coffee anymore". I'd better find a place outside the room to sleep then .....
