The Damage Was Done

Right after breakfast, we took the MRT into town. After a change at Marina Bay, we were off to Orchard Road. We stopped a station short at Somerset and ventured out. The weather was warm. Rather too warm for taking the street. We stopped at almost all the malls along the way just to enjoy the air conditioning.

At Paragon, we did some shopping, ending up at the Toys'r'Us. Almost every toy Irfan picked up, he said, "but we don't have this in KL". Two carrier bags full of toys later, and he was still at it.

Lunch came next. Getting Halal food in the middle of Orchard proved rather tricky. In the end, we stopped at McDonald's. Now it was time for Mummy to do the shopping .......

One of the shop selling Moll furnitures caught my eyes. they were actually cheaper than Malaysia, and the choices were more varied. Unfortunately, they do not cover shipment abroad. Tricky one that .......

Who Wants Pancake?

After we took turn having breakfast at the main cafe, it was the boys' turn to have some breakfast. What did they want? Pancakes.

And they were gorgeous. The maple syrup that went with them was just heavenly. And guess who finished them up in the end? Puan Anita ....

Day 3

Just done with breakfast, but don't worry, I did not get myself drunk! Food was great, and the service was super efficient as always. We had to take turns today, so, I had my breakfast first, then Anita. The boys would have something in the room.

Plans for today? We will be going into town on MRT. We had a practice run last night back home from Arab Street. Irfan seemed to have figured it out pretty fast. Will be getting a day pass today and would be heading for Orchard by lunch.

But, the first order of business is getting the boys into the shower ....

Universal Studios, and Beyond!

Just returned from Universal Studios and just too tired to blog too much. We had fun, but it would have been better of the boys had their friends with them since the get rather irritated in a big crowd.

The express pass we purchased for an extra SGD30 per head was a life saver. It meant that we did not have to queue with the main crowd - it did not apply web I tried to cut the queue to have my photo with Marilyn Monroe though!

I got drenched in one of the ride. But on the whole, it was great fun. Definitely worth the trouble. I wished that the children were not as grumpy. Should we returned, we were sure to bring their cousins or friends with them. Will blog later.

Day 2

Good Morning! An early start although I managed to watch the whole match last night. As I mentioned, United just pulled one back with a penalty. They had another penalty right after, followed by an equaliser by Chicharito. It ended 3 all, with De Gea pulling off a magnificent save from a Mata free kick right at the death.

What's the plan for today? We were just getting everyone into the shower, breakfast, then off to Universal Studios. The weather looked great outside, although the shoes which I planned to wear today turned out to be too tight. I ended up with blisters while trying them out last night. Had to stick with my Croc.

After talking to the Concierge last night, he said the best way to get to Universal would be via taxi. It looked like that would be the plan ..... Later then!
