Chilling In

After a rather busy afternoon, the admission rather slowed down after I returned to apartment for a shower. So, I was caught in two minds. Should I go back to the hospital and hang around the lounge or just chill out at the apartment. With the breeze outside - it was raining heavily earlier in the evening - I felt just like killing time at the apartment rather.

The only problem was, I was rather starving. They were a few microwave dinner which Anita had stocked up in the fridge, but I felt like having so,etching different. How I would murder a bigger or two. McDonald's was just a five minute drive away, but I really couldn't be bothered.

Changes of Plans

The morning started smoothly enough with the nice weather and the quick drive from the apartment to the ward. The ward round also went fine. We then went for a late breakfast at Bangsar Shopping Center where we bumped into one of the boys' buddies and their parents.

Unfortunately, that was the highlight. It went downhill after that. Or at least, not according to the plan.

The original idea was to head out to Low Yat to survey for the laptop for the Haematology Society. But with, the breakfast cum lunch finishing later than planned, we decided not to go together. I would go to Low Yat alone - Anita likes to walk around Pavilion usually.

I then got a call from my sister that my Mum had been under the weather since last night. She had a slight virus I think and had been feeling sick overnight. Much better today, and we bought her and Dad some tea. We hang around until late afternoon, until I had to go back to the hospital to review a couple of the inpatients.

So, two big plans for the weekend had to be shelved. The photo walk and the trip to Low Yat for gadget browsing. Never mind. At least I got to spend some quality time with Anita and the family. Happy Sunday evening all ....

Apartment Time

After returning from Great Eastern Mall, we settled down and then was surprised that there were no water when we wanted to hit the shower. Hmmm! I guessed Syabas was at it again. No water during the weekend - usually it was the low water pressure. And this was despite the heavy downpour in Klang Valley in the last few days.

Anyhow, we decided to pack up and head to the apartment for the night. A nice bak I thought for the boys, Irfan especially after his ordeal at the dentist.

It was 11 pm and both of them were still with their iPad. They planned to wake up late tomorrow morning .....

What's Next?

So, I managed to spend the whole afternoon at the apartment. And now, heading for the showers before going back to the hospital. And guess what I did? I was watching the Hunger Games. Yes, the movie.

It was actually better than I thought it was going to be. The nice hot weather outside was really prohibitive to anything productive unfortunately. I would be going back for the veining rounds, and possibly hanging around at the hospital until midnight for admissions. My brother-in-law was still at the ward, so I might give him a visit later. As for now, should get moving ……?

Sunny Saturday

So, Mum was back home. Anita went off with her. So were the boys. I was on call today, and spent the last couple of hours waiting for a transfer from another hospital across town. The patient has yet to materialise. I decided that it was time to go back to the apartment, have some snack, a shower later, before returning, fresher.

The weather outside however, was really gorgeous. Plenty of children in the pool downstairs basking in the sun. I wished that I could take the boys along, but not today I guessed. I ended up watching some television, maybe enjoying a fine brew of coffee, before getting interrupted again by phone calls …..Happy Saturday everyone ….
