Them Toys

The toys I bought for the boys from Kyoto proved to be a hit for the boys. Both of them, among others got a remote controlled car each. And oh boy, they literally slept with the cars last night. Irfan especially enjoyed it.

This evening, the room was transformed into a race circuit, complete with ramps and guard rails. Surprisingly the batteries were still not depleted. It went on and on. It won't be long until the cars would be broken I think. But, for the time being, hopefully the cars would keep them occupied for the next week or so .....

Painting Time

I watched Irfan doing his computer project last weekend and was fascinated by the amount of knowledge these seven year-olds actually have concerning computer. And the computer system at his school used both Macs and PCs, and since the main computer was a Mac, he was able to adapt to both system.

First, he composed the paintingSend it to the printerMake sure things were in orderThe task given was to use either Microsoft Paint, or another free software for Mac - Tug Paint I think it was called - to do a drawing, print them and submit them.

More masterpiecesLetting them dryIrfan actually did everything by himself, navigating the menus, and making sure that things got printed out …. amazing! I don't think I would be able to that at his age ….

Poorly Irfan

When I arrived home, I found that Irfan was fast asleep, missing his Quran class. Anita was out at the time. Irfan is usually very active late afternoon, and love his Quran class since most of his school friends were there. He was baking hot.

The temperature soon settled after some mess, but I think I better stock up on some antibiotics from the clinic just in case. Poor boy ....

Another note from Irfan

When I was away doing my ward round yesterday morning, Irfan had a ..... misunderstanding with his grandmother. I couldn't contain my laughter when I saw this note in front of our room when I got back.

I think he would make a great blogger. He sure loved to put his grief in writing. Bless .....

Irfan was not Happy

I made Irfan clean the room after he made a mess right after returning from school. Suffices to say he was not happy with it. So, on come the protest notice pasted on the door ....

"Only Irfan Idlan Mama no Dady". Bless his cotton socks. He still to brush up on his grammar and spelling.
