At Keramat

Another Sunday, and another trip to Pasar Ramadhan in search for food of course. And again, we bought too much and would struggle to finish everything tonight.

The search today brought us to Keramat around AU2. It was a spur of the moment thing as we went there in the past years.

Part of nasi kerabu sauceYummy!

The place wasn't really big, just a row of stalls on the side of the road, but it has everything we were looking for.

The important couple of things for me was the drinks - more specifically a local fruit called "Air Mata Kuching" - and murtabak. Apparently the ones they had there were killers. Parking was straight forward as we were early, and the place was wide open compared to the cramped area around Melawati.

Smoky! This should be gorgeous! They are kinda colourfulDefinitely worth coming again but only only weekends as traffic were bad during weekdays.

Idlan was not Well

After vomiting in the car on the way home earlier, Idlan managed to take in some food and medicine before again feeling tired. By the time we were ready for berbuka, he was already asleep.

He was still sleeping when I checked on him just now before I myself retire. I will be on call tomorrow and planning for an early night.

Bad Evening Traffic

I managed to leave the hospital early this afternoon. And it was just as well. Anita left Gombak later than usual and was caught in a bad jam. Combination of people rushing home in time for berbuka plus the rain made for the huge build up.

To make matters worse, Anita got a call from school when Idlan was at his extra class. He was feeling feverish and started being dizzy. His friends to help him by getting him some drinks and bringing him some biscuits. In the end he asked for the teacher to call Anita.

That was before the rain. By the time Anita was approaching Bangsar, he was feeling sicker and finally vomited. He felt better after that but it was another 30 minutes before he reached home.

The traffic just got worse after that and I was lucky that I wasn't called back to the hospital before berbuka. The traffic only improved at around 8 pm, when the rain finally stopped.

Lazy Morning

As per tradition, I normally take the first couple of days of Ramadhan off. This year, I was on call on the day before Raya, which meant that I had to sort out the admissions in the first day. Therefore, I could take things a bit easier on the morning of the second. And I did just that.

After sleeping over after Subuh, I took my time getting up for my ward round. When I was finally done, I only reached the hospital at around 9, going through my rounds and was ready for home before noon.

The curtains remained undrawn Quick peek into Idlan's roomI spent the rest of the afternoon with Anita, first of all doing some shopping, and then heading to the bank. We settled the kids before joining my family at Bukit Antarabangsa for berbuka.

My colleagues would be away for the week from the third day of Ramadhan. So, I might as well enjoy my down time to catch some sleep and just chill out.

Berbuka at Bukit Antarabangsa

It was Julia and Salleh's turn to sponsor the berbuka at Bukit Antarabangsa on the second day of Puasa. It was a yearly tradition - my turn would be next weekend.

I went there only with Anita since the boys had tuition and mengaji that afternoon. We got there early, greeted by my Mum who prepared something extra for me, my favourite Gulai Ikan Kering. It was to die foot, with extra portion for sahur later.

Almost time Time for prayers More people than expected turned up and the food was finished 5 minutes before berbuka. We hang around until after Maghrib prayers after which in had to send Idlan for his tuition.
