Across to Fahrenheit

Fahrenheit's decorations were always understated but creative. This time, the theme was kampung life and the unique thing about this was the plenty of coconut trees made from woven ketupat leaves. Very festive.

The place was overshadowed with the opening of Shoopen however as a lot of commotion coming that way. To be honest, the decoration here was actually more creative than the one in Pavilion.

At Mid Valley

After the grocery shopping was done, it was time to explore Mid Valley and their decorations. Anita needed to do some shopping and I was able to explore the place alone. With my Theta on tow, it was 360 degree snaps galore!

The main foyer was decorated with models of kampung houses. There was a stage there with some musician playing Raya songs later in the afternoon.

Over at Gardens, there was a school choir with their angklung - a traditional Chinese/Malay fusion musical instrument - singing away. Nice and festive.

Surprisingly, I did not get anything myself, leaving that for after Raya to tie in with my birthday. But I enjoyed the spectacle at the place that sunny Sunday afternoon as people went about their business. No coffee for me to sip as it was still Ramadhan.

The Pavilion Decorations

Kn the middle of the Pavilion foyer. Raya decorations for 2016 in full swing! - Spherical Image - RICOH THETA

I would write about this a bit more on another entry, but suffice to say that the decorations was functional and straight forward. There were no stalls and at one end, there was a stage which I was sure would host some dances at times.

The place was crowded mainly with Filipino maids which I was sure on their Sunday outing. They were snapping away whicle the locals were going about teir shopping. For a Sunday, I was expecting the crowd to be bigger, and this is despite Raya only 10 days away. I guess people don't come to Pavilion for their Raya shopping then.

I also tried to dabble on a bit of video taking, but upon post-processing, I found the video to be rather wobbly and grainy. Not as sharp as I would have hoped for, but it was in VR mode.

Fahrenheit 88 Decorations

Then it was across to Fahrenheit 88. The decorations there was simpler compared to PAvilion plus it occupying a smaller area. The buzz at the maal on the day was the opening of Shoopen, a brand new shoe outlet. A long queue outside!

Bukit Bintang Decorations

Bukit Bintang Plaza - Spherical Image - RICOH THETA

My first try at using the Theta S was at Bukit Bintang Plaza. As you can see, I was looking at the camera since I was not sure if the shutter was released or not. I guessed I could do with a bit more practice!
