A New Week

Last week was a blur. The whole week. It had been busy and it didn't stop until over the weekend. Today was the first day that I could really catch a breather. It had been busy one way or the other, but luckily we were spending time at the apartment rather than back in Gombak.

We finally moved back to the house yesterday, the boys were in school and Anita had a free afternoon.

It would be tax week. I just need to write some cheque and file some documents before then. At least Thursday would be a day off. Labour Day.

Dizzy Day

The call last night didn’t end well. A devastating event ended it this morning and I was at the hospital very early. Started the round really early after the case was sorted out. I only managed to leave the hospital just after noon, straight for lunch at the apartment.

The original plan was to move back to Gombak, but since I was too tired and I would probably had to return to the hospital later in the evening - which I did, she decided to stay on. But we still had to go to Gombak to sort a few things out. I ended up having a nice nap there, waking up in time to return to Bangsar, and then start the ward round.

And that was my Sunday gone ….. perfect!

Sunday Talk

I liked to have Sunday afternoons for myself. Either taking my boys out to the park, taking my camera for a spin or just chilling, I prefer to keep it low key.

But sometimes, I had to go out and join the reset of the world. Such occasion was yesterday afternoon.

I will make it a point in the future to politely turn down any invitations for pharmaceutical talks on a Sunday afternoon or evening. Yes, they do provide lunch, and the topic may be interesting and all, but best to leave Sunday alone.

As it happened yesterday, looking around, not many of my senior colleagues were around for the talk. I myself didn't stay for dinner and I promised to take the boys out. I spent the earlier afternoon taking the E-M1 for a quick spin at the Bird Park.

Shame that the topic was quite good ...

Homework Sunday

I was done with my morning rounds and seen the first couple of admissions for the day. Now it was time to chill at the apartment with the boys for lunch, while waiting for more admissions.

Idlan especially got plenty of homework still. I was pretty sure that when I was in school, we never had this much homework to do.

Sometimes I thought it was too much. Unfortunately nowadays homeworks were expected. And there seemed to be getting more, not less.

It was warm and breezy outside, and at the dining area with the windows open, it was certainly very nice. Anita and the boys were staying in since there were workers coming in to fix the bathroom all day today.

Long Weekend Over

It had been a long three days, but things got quieter by yesterday afternoon, so much so that I was able to join my KLickr buddies for a spot of coffee in town.

The boys enjoyed their PD trip, especially Idlan who was still buzzing about it when he reached home last evening. Hour was talking about how serene things were at the beach, not like the hustle and bustle of town over pizza last night.

The boy was clearly growing up too fast.

They have another day of their CNY break today to enjoy before returning to school tomorrow. As for me, I was contemplating cancelling my afternoon clinic in Subang. KL was on holiday still today, so no trip to ParkCity this morning. ‎
