Friday, December 6, 2013 at 9:01AM Nelson Mandela had died aged 95.
In life, we would always remember certain events. I still remember what I was doing on Sept 11. It was one of those vivid moments which you would remember forever. And today was such day.
It defines the maturity of modern democracy. The struggles and the way he handled and accepted the treatment that he had during his incarceration. And after his release, rather than going for payback,, he embraced them. And that defined the man.
If would be many moons before another such personality emerge. The current crops of World leaders can only dream of being held at such high regard as the great man.
What I respected him most was the fact that he held the Presidency for only a single term. He could've held on at the throne until he died. But not him. He knew that the World must move on.
Good Bye Sir.

Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 5:10PM He had been lying in front of the TV all day. No pain. Just loved to boss people about. And Irfan had been obliging.
There was an addition to his bawse-ness. A new press bell. Whenever he needed anything, he would press it for out maids to come. And it was mainly for the call of nature.
Still no rash despite the heavy intake of chicken so far I was happy to report ...

Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 10:16AM That was a depressing read. Regardless of how you wanted to sugarcoat it, getting beat by the team you left, at home was a bitter pill to swallow for any manager. Well, it better be!
It was confidence-sapping and derailed our unbeaten momentum. We just failed to roll on after the win in Germany last midweek in the Champions League. It would take some lifting up going into the congested Xmas fixture.
I woke up to catch the second half, and it was pretty even then although United was on the front foot. It took a brilliant reflex save from the bearded Tim Howard and the crossbar to stop is taking the lead. But how things could change.
We started conceding free kicks at dangerous areas again, similar to what we did against Spurs last weekend. Although the goal did not come directly from one, the successions of free kick out us on the back foot and we started defending deeper and deeper. One chance on the 86th minute and it was one nil to the Toffee. We couldn't claw back from that.
Rooney was again sucked down into midfield where he was less affective. Our midfielder just couldn't shift the ball quickly enough. Too many sideways passes. Even the brilliance of Adnan couldn't undo the stout Everton defence. I think we still have issues with the midfield. Sometimes the looked pedestrian.
There wasn't a lot to take home from the defeat especially when the other contenders were winning as if it was routine.
Onwards!
