To Kajang

Since the weekend, my Mum had been staying with my Sister in Kajang. She seemed to be doing OK although still a bit tired at times. She was still used to the idea of taking regular medications. My brother-in-law had also bought her monitoring equipment for her sugar and blood pressure.

So, earlier tonight, we headed off to Kajang to visit her and my sister. We had dinner there, and hung around for a bit. A Shane that tomorrow would be a school day and the children needed to go to bed. Otherwise I would have hung around there a bit longer.

With me traveling to Italy next week, I stocked up my Mum's medications for the duration. She had problem with low sugar, and she felt better when we cut down the dose of some of her tablets. She could do with eating a bit more than she was doing now.

Sun Not Coming Out

A quick look outside my window this morning summed up my mood perfect. Even the sun was reluctant to come out to play. How I wished that I could just lay there until the afternoon. But this being a post-call morning, I had to get going and sort out the admissions.

It soon started raining heavily. And that went on until I had my breakfast. Just arrived hone, and it looked gloomy outside. The plan was to visit KLCC to see an exhibition there, one which I planned to go to last weekend but couldn't make time. Hopefully I could find a couple of hours later in the afternoon to browse some book as well around there. I always browse for books when I was about to fly on a trip. Since I would be in Italy in a couple of weeks time, I might as well have a quick look for some travel tips.

Quick Look at The Final

Just having a breather after quite a long day. Catching up with the French Open Ladies Final. And it looked like Serena was getting the better of Sharapova. Another break on the second set. It would be curtains soon if Sharapova didn't get her act together.

Maybe I'd call it the night and return to the apartment after the match is done. So far, it was more of a groanfest than a spectacle.

Happy Friday Evening

It was finally Friday, which meant iPads were out from their hiding place for the weekend. Apparently there had been an update to their favourite game, Minecraft. Quick update, and fir the last hour they had been in front of their iPads.

I never quite understand Minecraft, possibly because I never had the time to get into it. But my boys and their friends in school were really into it. Idlan and Irfan could even log onto the WiFi network and play together. Still I couldn't figure out what the excitement was all about.

According to Irfan, with the latest update, he could bake cake, milk cows and built more stuffs. Idlan's favourite seemed to be the lava tiles.

Never mind then, I need to chill out since I would be on call tomorrow. Anita had been in the kitchen for the last 30 minutes. And it smelt nice ........

Repair Work

After the leaking from a couple of months back, the damage was finally repaired and rectified. And it was not as simple a job as we imagined it was going to be. There were plenty of plumbing, digging, knocking and finally painting that needed doing. Luckily it was covered by the developer.

But since we were rarely there, the management took their time to do the repairing. And according to the supervisor, they would be finishing the job sometime next week. That should coincide with transfer of ownership of the apartment to is as well by then.

There were some painting needed doing on the wood paneling Some polishing would be niceThere would still be some polishing needed doing, as well as some minor or touch up of the paint work. I came over to have a look at the place after lunch and to have a word with the supervisor about the repair work. According to him, the plumbing was tricky as some of the parts were custom made and the parquet also needed some expert to.look into the repair.

Hopefully, no more leakage after this. It wasn't the cost so much that we worried about, but the hassle of getting things organised and the time taken to get the repair done.
