Rooting

Guess who I was rooting for? Of course it would be the great Roger Federer going for another Wimbledon title. On his way was Andy Murray. And playing at home turf, of course the crowd would be behind Murray.

The start was more than Murray would have dreamt of. He broke Federer's serve in the first game, and held his own in the next game. But like all thoroughbred champion, Federer replied quickly. And we would be for a treat. Murray was really pushing it, and at times, Federer was just about hanging on. Great stuff!

Post Call

It had been a long drawn out day for me today. A typical post call day when you suffer from lack of sleep. Was interrupted a few times through the night, not to mention a couple of admissions in the early hours, which I had to catch up with as soon as I turn up for the morning rounds. This was followed up by clinics and other routine admissions.

So, by the time I was done in the afternoon, I was struggling to stay awake. I crashed on the couch as soon as I reached home and was gone for a couple of hours. Just managed to get some shower. But unfortunately, I would be on call again tomorrow as one of my colleague was under the weather. It worked out well since there was a symposium going on during the weekend and me being free on Sunday, I might be able to catch up on a couple of the sessions. I misplaced the brochure though, so I was yet to find out the venue.

It was a gorgeous morning when I woke up and the drive to the hospital was a nice one. But the lack of sleep seemed to catch up on me ....

Waiting for Maghrib

I have a couple of consults to do when I get to the hospital and right now, I was just waiting for Maghrib. Evening rounds, dinner then wait for more admissions, possibly reach the apartment by midnight.

I Need Speed

When I bought the X-pro1, it came with a Sandisk 8Gb card. But it was of a rather sluggish variety. It took time for the camera to write if I was taking RAW snaps. Annoying.

Time to get a proper card. So, I plumped some good money for a better 16Gb number. It worked really well on the test so far. Let's see how it hold up the next time I go about town taking snaps.

Proper Breakfast

So, I was on call again today. But since today was Wednesday, and I do not have a morning clinic, I spent the morning going through my paperwork, doing some finance stuff at the bank and most importantly, some proper breakfast. So, Chawan was the destination again.

Almost 1 pm, and it was time to get back to the hospital preparing for the afternoon clinic. Still there were no calls so far. That could be bad news as the admission will start to come in after office hours. And I hated that. Hopefully, being mid week, things would be quiet. I will be on call again on Sunday, as well as attending a talk on the Saturday.
