Afternoon Drive

We ended up having lunch at Scott's restaurant. But the wait was ridiculously long. It took us an hour for our food to be ready. Luckily, the boys were chirpy and spent the whole time playing with their Nintendo. Anita was almost taking a nap at such the slow pace of the place. The weather was cool and things were easy going.

After finishing lunch, we dropped my in-laws at their room and went out for a drive. This time we stopped for miniature golf. It was situated at a new food court and appeared well maintained. We planned to have lunch there tomorrow, hoping that the crowd would be lighter compared to today.

It soon rained, and we rushed back to apartment. Now off for some scones ....

Waiting For Lunch

After the hearty breakfast this morning, we entires out to explore the town. Being Sunday, the place was full. Some cyclers, an maybe those from KL coming here for a day trip. The place was heaving.

Finally, it was time for lunch and we decided to go to Scott's Restaurant where the previous Manager at Smokehouse during our last stay is now managing there. The restaurant is under the same management with Smokehouse apparently.

It was still before noon and the restaurant is only open at 12. Time for a quick drink at Puncak Inn next door.

Settling In

We finally settled into our hotel for the weekend after a rough drive up the hill. A fully loaded Estima with a couple of screaming kids at the back! By the time we reached the top, both of them were fast asleep, which was a blessing. But unfortunately, they mustered the energy to cause havoc all night!

Dinner was nice - we had it at the hotel. But compared to what it was a couple of years ago, it was much better back then. The rooms at Ye Olde Smokehouse had gone some internal renovations, sim pretty much of the utilities were new. We booked a room with a bunker bed - and I think you'd figured out by now who would be using that. It was a nice cosy suite, right net to the main hall. So going for dinner and breakfast was just practically outside our door.

As the hotel just managed to sort out the wifi, I only just managed to blog. The Edge signals were pretty sketchy, so, I would be at the mercy of the wifi network. Will blog later ....

Where for Dinner?

So, today's clinic was done extra early and I sorted the ward well in advance before returning home in holiday mood. Planning to take the boys out for dinner later but was not sure yet of the venue. Irfan was already jumping up and down looking forward to tomorrow. Anita had bought them some new jumpers for the trip. Hopefully the weather would be nice and crisp up the hill.

For this evening, I'd better ask the boys where they wanted to have dinner. I wouldn't mind going out to the Curve actually.

Feeling Lazy

Now that I was winding down before going on a break tomorrow, I felt really lazy. Luckily, I have not that many patients left in the ward although there were a couple of admissions this morning, which will be discharged tomorrow. I also have some paperwork to sort out by tomorrow morning, so I thought I might as well get on with things.

The weather outside was also very nice, making me kind of depressed having to stay in. I wish that the weather would be just as nice tomorrow morning when we set off to Fraser's Hill. In the meantime, I better get on with the job ...
