Legends in Concert

I had to return to hospital after dinner last night but managed to put the recorder on for Coldplay's Glastonbury concert. And it was a right treat.

Ever since I heard "Shiver" back in 2000, I was hooked. It was pretty obvious soon after that the group was rather special. They were not your typical Britpop offering, and before long, they made it big in the US, something that Blur or Oasis never actually managed to muster just as well.

The concert featured all their staples, and it was shown on Fox Movie Channel. I heard that U2 would featured sometime next week. I shall be on the look out for that as well ....

Exam Time

So, Idlan's exams was in full swing and Anita spent the rest of the afternoon teaching him some English. Idlan himself was chilled with the whole thing and at any spare moment, he would start to play ball with his brother. He finally finished his reading before dinner and after that, spent the rest of the time before bed chasing around with Irfan.

The poor boy had too much exams at school if you know what I mean. I better make sure that he would enjoy his coming holiday because he certainly deserved it.

Spain Did It

Well done to Spain. Although the 4-0 score line was rather harsh. Mind you, the Italians were playing with ten men after Thiago Motta was carried off injured. It was just unlucky. Spain deserved the win though, but maybe by a couple of goals.

I managed to watch the second half and when I tried to sleep after the match, I got a phone call from the hospital as one of my patient was taken ill. Time to head to the hospital. An unexpected earlier start than planned.

So, here I was, just after 9, just finished sorting out my patients. Starving though. I might just catch some breakfast later.

Short-lived Outing

After leaving the short movie early to get the boys to the park, I was disappointed that it started to rain. Well, didn't really mind the rain, but it was the thunder that we were scared off. So, after only five minutes running around the park, we had to leave. Not even time for a quick ice cream. Sigh!

Lake Perdana Park was full, so we turned to the Tugu area instead. It was practically empty, but with no playground. We should've gone there with a ball or a bat instead. So, that would be the plan for next time.

X-Pro1 First Impressions

I wished that I had a few more outings with the new camera, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't very kind and it rained this afternoon. I also had to run errands as well as get some rest, not to mention having a peek at the BMW Shorties on the Sunday, as well as taking the boys for a run around.

So far, the jpg coming out of the camera had been amazing. The lens was sharp as advertised. I was still getting used to the focusing system. But the white balance, the tone and the overall feel of the image was astounding. Mind you, I have yet to push the camera to the limit. Maybe I would do so on the coming trip up Fraser's Hill in mid July.
