Another Leak

Unfortunately there was another leak at the apartment. This time it was at the bathroom by the main living area, and the water had seeped through underneath the parquet flooring. It would be another job to get those sorted out.

Informed the management about the problem, and the supervisor had seen in. Next would be the maintenance manager and the flooring company people coming to sort out the insurance part. Tedious.

The repair work might start in a week or so abd would probably last a fortnight. The plumbing would also need replacing the walls repainted. Sigh ..... The problem of living in an apartment .....

Bangsar Crying

I planned to stop at Bangsar Village and the shops surrounding it during lunch, but it just rained all afternoon. I thought I could get away by waiting for the rain to pass. Unfortunately it kept on pouring down even until I left for clinic from the apartment.

Waiting for the rain to passIt looked like my maid had her work cut out for the weekend as the heavy rain flooded the patio. Luckily there was no report of flooding or tree falling. That happened the last time it rained this heavy.

Cleaning Up

After the mess from last jght and this morning, the boys did something unexpected. They actually cleaned the bathroom. We didn't even have to get our maid to help.

Maybe this was a ploy to allow us to let them in again tonight. We shall see .....

Long Friday

It was a long night last night and I only managed a couple of hits of sleep. And today being Friday, combined with Ramadan, the condition really took its toll. I was really tired by the time I was done with the afternoon rounds. If I were to put my head on a pillow before Berbuka, I would risk taking sahur as my next meal. It was that kind of a day.

Last night was my last call before Raya, and I would be winding down in terms of admission by this weekend, before taking a week off for Raya. But tomorrow clinic would be a long one since there would be hardly any in the next week or so.

We would be staying at the apartment until this Sunday, before packing to return to Gombak. The boys would be reluctant to go, but we had to. Idlan had made up his room already - Irfan's remained a mess. Was at the bath watching over Irfan as I was writing this. He just loved to stay in the Jacuzzi.
