Back to School

After a couple of days away, Idlan is now back at school this morning. He seemed energised and did not complain when he got up. The same cannot be said about Irfan, back to his usual whinging self. But they both went off to school.

Our maid would be away from tomorrow - being Good Friday - for the whole weekend. We were contemplating spending time at the apartment, but unfortunately, the boys had some exams coming up in a couple of week. I would also be on call on Sunday, leaving them alone at the apartment, probably bored.

At least them going to school brought some relief to us as Idlan was really toxic only a couple of nights back ….

It's Idlan's Turn

I thought of taking the boys out to dinner last night. Went out fine but when we were having the food, Idlan started complaining of body ache. W didn't finish his dinner. And soon, we had to leave, worrying that he would become more sick.

As soon as he arrived home, he started shaking. Poor boy. He went to bed early, only to wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat and confabulation. Had to get him up to take some medicines.

He was still yet to recover this morning. Then I myself started having body ache and sore throat when I woke up. After soon my morning rounds, the aching never stopped. I still have a couple of procedures to do later. Maybe a quiet morning in clinic plus a nice lunch should perk me up a bit.

Better call Anita and find out how Idlan is doing.

A Bit Better

Anita was feeling a bit better especially after the visit from the two boys. I also brought Idlan to see a Paediatrician as he was having diarrhea for the last few days, ever since e vomited. The Paediatrician thought that he had a mild AGE, and started him on some probiotics.

Irfan was crying when it was time to go. They were asking if Anita would be coming back tonight. It seemed that I had to do the explaining to them later on when I arrive home alone ......

Idlan and Miniature Golf

My father-in-law was an avid golfer back in his heydays. In fact, all senior government servants were golfers. Maybe it was built into their job description. He would spend weekends away on retreats with fellow senior officers at resorts, and my mother-in-law was furious at times. Unfortunately, after his heart bypass in 2004, he had hardly pulled out the driver.

Tips from the ProBogey! One more tryTaking a breatherIrfan also had a goDuring our trip to Frasers Hill last months, we spent a couple of afternoons after lunch playing a quick miniature golf, and on the second afternoon, my father-in-law actually Syed with Idlan. It was a great sight. My boys actually understood golf, from TV and video games and certainly they understood what putting was all about, making teaching them a breeze. It was hardly the real thing but Idlan had fun with his grandfather, which waste main thing.

The training went on until tea timeFollowed by a runAnd a swing!I was sure Idlan would inherit his golf set still ending dusting down. More on the Fraser's Hill stay here.

The Eyebags Are Gone

After first Irfan, then Idlan, now Puan Anita and I started having sore throat. I had a bit of a temperature earlier today, which settled after some paracetamol. The sore throat is still bothering me though, and I suspect, it would be worst tomorrow morning when I wake up. Hopefully, I could muster some energy for our weekend break to A Famosa as the boys were really looking forward to it.

As for Idlan, he is doing much better, although he skipped school again today. The eyebags were gone, and so was the coughing. He should be fine for his class tomorrow. A quick look at my list, my clinic should be light, although I had a few inpatients lined up. Should be manageable even with a slight cold.
