Saturday Walk
It wasn't much of a Saturday today. I spent yesterday night sorting out my slides and despite cancelling the clinic this morning, I was in hospital all morning sorting out the few patients I had to see in the morning.
I didn't make the faculty lunch in time and got to the conference venue just before my session started.
Once my session was done, it was time to unwind. But it was raining cats and dogs outside. And the traffic? Atrocious!
After the rain stopped, I decided to take Anita out for dinner. For some reason, I felt like having Arab food. Off to Pavilion. Bad move! Bukit Bintang was packed and I only managed to park at Fahrenheit, walking across to Pavilion for our dinner, having a peek at the CNY decorations which were already being erected.
I wasn't really in the mood for photography at the time. Food was foremost on my mind, plus bed later ....
Lazy Afternoon
Still no sign of our maid who was supposed to be back from the Philippines yesterday. As such, we decided to take things easy and just chill out for the afternoon. The boys definitely liked that idea. They would rather be at home all the playing with their toys.
My Mum would be having a kenduri tomorrow and I would be attending a wedding tonight. With the maid not in, I'd probably have to attend the wedding on my own. Too late to organise a sitter.
The clinic finished on time and since I didn't have that many inpatients, I reached home well early. Well, earlier than usual. A quick lunch, any I think I would take a nap. Weather outside was really great but I was in no mood to go out this afternoon. Chilling would be better ..... Happy Saturday all.
Saturday Indoors
Saturday. Gorgeous sunshine. That usually meant me enjoying the town, hitting a cafe or two. But not today. Duty beckons. And it had been a long one.
The day started with a longer than expected ward round which I had to interrupt as I had a full clinic. I had another round after the clinic and that was when the fun started. And it never really stopped.
Managed to catch a breather now at the Lounge catching up on Manchester United playing Stoke. Just about settling download, Stoke scored a couple of goals. It looked like the day just kept on going from bad to worse ....
Time for a nice dinner I think. To mamak we go!
Afternoon in Bangi
Syahril and family had finally moved into their house which they bought about 10 years back. And yesterday, we were there for a bit of housewarming and basically all round good food. Minus Itul unfortunately who decided to move her knee operation date forward to the day before the meet. Silly her!
I also got the chance to put the new MPV into top gear on the drive there. We were late obviously as I could only go after my Saturday morning clinic, and it was just after 4 pm when we finally arrived there.
There were three main items, the roast chicken, laksa johor and some Korean sliced beef - courtesy of Azi and Amin - which made up the main dishes. Of course I had all three. And then came the famous banana toffee cake baked lovingly by Yatt.
All Itul got was some photographs obviously! And as for the boys, they skipped everything and we ordered pizza in the end. It was a great afternoon, but unfortunately as we didn't have a maid at the moment, we had to leave early. Plenty to do for Anita at home.
