Happy Sunday Morning
Good Morning all and Happy Sunday. Woke up refreshed after a nice sleep at the apartment. Irfan was already up in front of his console in his room. Idlan was still asleep and I was getting ready for my morning round, before taking the boys to Mid Valley to see an exhibition there.
Anticipating a big crowd, so I better get things organised early. Then, I would have to return to Gombak to pick up some clothes and send back the laundries.
Long day ahead. So, Happy Sunday everybody.
Nine Hours
I couldn't recall the last time I had a refreshing 9 hour sleep. Maybe on the flight to Amsterdam last week, but that wasn't the same. The sleep last night must be the best that I felt for a long while. Although I still had to answer a couple of calls from hospital, which I hoped I didn't answer rudely.
Anyhow, I woke up to a dull weather this morning, starving and in search of breakfast. Would be heading for a ward round first and would be going to find punch before heading back to Gombak to wait for the Anita's return. Hopefully the weather improves because I fact a bit of a photowalk. Maybe with just the mobile.
Sunday Duty
A win is still a win, even though it could have been more convincing. We were leading the Premiership by 18 points at one point before City put 4 past Newcastle the same evening. The lead remained at 15. And de Gea had not been breached for almost 600 minutes in the Premier League despite being considered as the weak link in our defence.
The return of football also brought a wanted distraction after a break for the World Cup Qualifiers. United would next be taking on Chelsea in the FA Cup replay on Easter Monday, about 48 hours after their last game. But to be fair, Chelsea was also in action last - being beaten by Southampton - which put more pressure on the already beleaguered Rafa Banitez.
As for me, in will be on call today. Always a pain to be on call on a Sunday, but somebody had to do it I supposed. One of my friend would be holding an Aqiqah on her baby later this morning. Would be trying to see if I could make it to the kenduri. Anita and the boys would be there as well. She was still not well from the flu.
Sunday at B.I.G.
The B.I.G. - Ben's Independent Grocer - at Solaris Dutamas was an imposing store at so many level. It was located on the Lower Ground, and one could never miss it.
We could spend the whole afternoon at the place alone. There were rows of groceries, plus a couple of nice cafe to sit at to pass the time - code for husbands to sit down while the wives were doing the shopping.
We sat down at the cafe yesterday to have lunch. The food was OK. The lasagna and pizza were great, but the salad not really. In fact it was rather disappointing. It was meant to be a Mediterranean el fresco twist to it, but fallen miserably short.
After lunch, my boys went berserk at the grocers. Especially the more domesticated Irfan. He kept piling up the baskets with all sorts of food. Idlan couldn't care less. Everything was clearly and well laid out. And the other plus about the place was the majority of the staffs there were locals. Communications was easy. The butcher however was Australian .... which was a bit strange.
Definitely a place to visit. A nice place to spend Sunday lunch, if you have some groceries to do.
