On Call Holiday

I got the short straw this time around having to cover for a colleague who booked a conference which happened to be during a Public Holiday. I took up the call to cover him and the day so far had been rather quiet. I spent teh afternoon at the apartment after a spot of lunch with a colleague.

Anita had brunch with some classmates and had just called to say that she was on the way back. Before reaching home, she had to pick up her new glasses. I offered to join her there so that we can have some afternoon tea while waiting for calls from the hospital.

Hopefully things stay quiet as it is since a couple of my colleagues would be away next week for another conference in Europe, leaving me to hold the fort. Happy Holidays all!

Annoying Leaks

It looked like the nightmare continued. This time there was a small leak at my study showers. Good thing was the plumber and supervisor acted quickly and the water pipe was shut down the same morning.

Unfortunately he had to remove a couple of rules and had to directly plug the leak. Minor thing but it left my room in a bit of a mess. Dust everywhere.

They had to let the glue dried up, which meant that the work can't be done on the same day. So, no entry to my study for the next few days until I could get it cleaned up.

Wierd Signage

I noticed that rather wierd signage at our new MediPlex building. It was meant to indicate the toilet. And from the looks of things the patron was rather desperate to get to the toilet to do their business, even putting their hands to the groin..... Not sure I've seen this before.

Work Has Started

It looked like I would be negotiating an obstacle course in the coming weeks on my route from the car park to my ward.

The work on the first floor of the MediPlex had already started rolling. They were putting up the dividers and before long, there would be drilling and dust. At least they had started after quite a long delay.

I wonder what would come up there later?

Bad Start

So, who spoilt my Monday morning? I bet it was Irfan during the weekend as he was at the back of the car yesterday. Only realised it when I was about to start the rounds this morning.

Luckily I had a free morning. Time to get the new coat out!
