Update Crash!

It had been more than a couple of weeks since I updated the iOS software into the new version. Some of my apps crashed, but the worst one affected had been one called 'Day One', which I used as my blogging platform. At least at the drafting stage. It synced across all my devices, and once I drafted the entry, I would just need to upload it onto the SquareSpace server from there.

Since the update, it had crashed big time. I have since found it a pain to update the blog, and consequently, things had slowed down.

As a last resort, I had to delete the synced files and lost the older updates - I still got a backup. It was now back in order. I suspect it was because I had too many entries on the server. It just could not cope with the syncing. It was now back in order, and I would be updating my blog more regularly from now on….

More Monitoring

It seems that Mum would be staying in the hospital for a few more days and the fever was still high. In dengue, the fever usually persist for around five days. Today would be Day 4. The would need constant monitoring. She was still tired and refused breakfast. No appetite.

My brother-in-law just had his own blood test, and was also positive for dengue. Up next would be a cousin of Anita who was also staying at the house. He had been having body ache for the last couple of days. He would have some tests tomorrow. So far, the boys had been fine. I was OK as well.

Next up, we were arranging for the maid to accompany my Mum tonight. We would need a small deck chair. The next couple of days would be a challenge .....

It Ain't Over Yet

I thought that the trips to the hospital for Anita would be a bit less this weekend, but how wrong was I. Anita was OK, but her Mum was admitted Friday and today, it was suspected that she has dengue. The pattern on the blood results were certainly in keeping, and the confirmatory serology would be sent tomorrow.

She was still having fever today, and I suspect that this would still continue for another couple of days. Anita was with her lay night with me and the boys chilling out through the night - we went to bed after midnight. I picked her up from the ward this morning after my morning rounds and now, we were back sending the maid to accompany her tonight. Anita would have to stay back as the boys would be back to school tomorrow.

So, it would be another few days before things went back normal at my household .....

Business As Usual

I was too hungry to start the rounds this morning, so, breakfast took priority. Roti telur. Teh tarik kurang manis, which was the sweetest thing I had tasted in my life.

While waiting for my order, Anita called. This time, it was her mother having high temperature, and she was asking me what she should do. She needs to see a Doctor obviously as there was a virus in our household at the minute. But she was not the type who would see a Doctor.

Anita insisted, and hopefully it was jut a simple virus. Should she get admitted, then then chaos in the house would continue on .....

Back On Call

Back on call today and as I was dragging this, I was just sitting at the Doctor's lounge contemplating what to have for dinner. Not really hungry as I had some noodle earlier when I went to the apartment for a shower.

It had been a lovely day wether-wise today. Clear blue sky, minus any hint of the haze. Wish that it was a Sunday when I could take my camera out for a photo walk. Not today I was afraid.

At home, I thought Puan Anita had been overdoing things a bit. Today also happened to be my Mum's birthday, and after sorting out the flowers and a trip to the bank, she felt drained. She definitely deserved a rest. The plan was, she would be spending the day at the spa this Saturday with her friends. Hopefully, she would be much better by then.
