Afternoon Chill

I was dead tired by the time I finished this clinic this morning. Managed to do a couple of procedures as well, and now, I was just sitting at the Doctor's lounge waiting to do the afternoon rounds a bit earlier.

I had some errands to run, and later look through at some of the photographs I took while I was in Penang yesterday. It looked promising and I plan to organise them with a narrative in my blog.

As for now, I need to get some sleep ....

Gorgeous Friday Morning

Wow! Such gorgeous weather outside, while I'm slaving away stuck in door. Believe it or not, I have wrapped up my morning clinic although I still have a few patients to see in the afternoon.

So, it looks like I have a couple of hours to my self. Hmmm! What should I do? .....

Friday Blues?

Feeling down this morning even though the news was half expected. United were outplayed again by Bilbao in Spain, and we were now out of Europe. I was also sad to learn that Eric Abidal, the Barcelona left back would be needing a liver transplant. I thought the successful operation last ear to remove a tumour in his liver was a success. Obviously, we have yet to learn of the full story. Wishing him luck though, for a fellow Moslem.

Looking forward to a long weekend, being on call tomorrow, followed with a period covering my colleague next week. This would be followed by a couple of weekends with commitments. I have signed up for a couple events, and in between, would have to prepare the lectures.

As for today, I was still feeling tired recovering from the Kota Bharu trip, the Tuesday call and the trips to the gym. Wouldn't mind a night in tonight but I'm sure my boys had something else in mind. It would be Friday evening after all, and we always eat out.

It Is Windy!

It is about to rain outside while I was at the lounge waiting for admissions. After being on leave for four days, it was back to work for me, and straight I being on call.

Had a couple of admissions so far and I am sure there would be more to come. One look outside and it was scary. Heavy wind again and I am sure it would be pouring down soon. The last time this happened, a couple I weeks back, we had tree branches falling at the Doctor's outdoor carpark - luckily I pay for an indoor one - with damages to three cars. The problem with this was, one can't claim from insurance. Luckily, there were no injuries.

It is brewing again outside, so here is praying that it would not be another mishap!

A Day of Rest

Alhamdulillah, we arrived at KLIA just after 1am, took the van with all the luggages and the boys from there, and arrives about 45 minutes later. There were hardly anyone on MEX Expressway at that hour.

Both of the boys were already asleep when we reached home, and they were snoring when we got them changed. They were clearly tired although they were wide awake at the airport on touchdown.

Puan Anita was still traumatised by the whole experience and was thankful that we changed plane rather than taking the original one.

Since the van charge from KLIA back home was expensive, with the midnight surcharges - ending up more costly than the flight ticket! - I decided to tweet @MAS and Tony Fernandes about it. Oh the power of the Internet! I got a reply within 10 minutes and this morning, had emailed them the details of the flight and scanned the limo voucher.

Well done @MAS for responding so promptly and I'm now hoping that they would hold true to the reply and my complains and claim would be attended to, not just some lip service ..... I will blog about the details once the conversation had ended.

I'm at my Bangsar apartment this morning for some repairs, and later would be in clinic for a quick afternoon session. Would be on call tomorrow, and could do with getting my feet up between now and then.

The boys were also absent from school today, and they were clearly tired. so, planning for a day of rest!
