Happy Malaysia Day

I was doing a bit groceries early this morning and it appeared that the Jalur Gemilang Lego bits at Bangsar Village was completed in the nick of time.

Back at the apartment now and waiting for Syahril and his family to arrive. Will likely chill out the rest of the day, but would be on call tomorrow.

For those resting at home and enjoying the long weekend, Happy Malaysia Day!

Closing Down for the Week

I still had the clinic open a couple of days before Raya and was at the hospital doing rounds and procedure on Raya Eve. I preferred it that was and then had a long break after.

As usual, it was time to clear my clinic room with all the hampers and cards. A few trips to the car this time around as some of my patients had been really generous ....

Heading Towards Holidays

Chinese New Year holidays this year stretched the weekends to Tuesday - although I will be on call on the Tuesday. As for my boys, they will only go back to school on Thursday, with exams coming along the week after.

Irfan would also be turning 10 on Tuesday, but with the holidays and all we decided to only celebrate after his exams. Anita had been planning his party for the last couple of weeks, with the theme already set.

On standbyAs for me, it would be a couple of days of chilling out. A few of my friends had already started planning for a photography day out on the Chinese New Year Day. Should the timing be right, I might be joining them. So, time to chill out tonight.

Breakfast at the Terraces

With the nice weather, we were treated with breakfast out in the open during our stay. Although it was a bit on the chilly side, the warm meal soon thaw us up. It was nice actually, with the birds chirping and all.

The only problem was the boys refused to come down for breakfast, electing instead to stay in bed. So, Anita and I had to take turns to come down for our meals.

The room included full English breakfast, with choices of eggs, plus bacon and sausages. Great way to start the day. Sorry, no nasi lemak ....

Times Square Monkey

We went to Low Yat this afternoon to get Anita's iPhone screen fixed. It was OK, not as expensive as we thought and it was done within half an hour. Anita was happy, until iPhone 7 was out. The phone should be OK for the next few months at least.

After a quick lunch, we walked across to Berjaya Times Square for Anita to do a bit of shopping. Me on the other hand went to visit an exhibit at the Nikon Centre across from Low Yat.

At the main foyer, they had a huge monkey - since it would be the year of the Monkey next. But it came with a couple of antennae. To be honest, it started to look like an ant with its big eyes from certain angle.

Well, after the shopping was done I stopped over at Starbucks for a quick later before heading back to Low Yat where we parked out car. The road wasn't full but the parking lots were. I guess people do like to go out to shopping malls like me...
